Introduce of the New Products

The Livestock Breeding Center is ratified by the Shandong Livestock Office, and was set up and put into use in 2003. The center lies in the Qingdao Animal Science and Technology Demonstration park. It covers an area of over 70 Mu and the building area is over 4,000㎡

The center is divided into biologic center and feeding farm. The biologic center is well equipped with embryo cutter machine, entity microscope, and carbon dioxide culture box etc. The center mainly focuses on the embryo production, transplant, generalization of good livestock, and technician training. It can also do the development and research of new breeds, take on the national test and research work of livestock biological technology. Equipped with forage grass mowing machine, grass disintegrator and conveyances, the feeding farm has sheltered feedlot for 3000㎡, which can hold 300 heads of cattle. Around the center, there is a forage grass-planting base for over 200 Mu.

The center at present is breeding Dorper, Suffolk sheep, Boer goat and breeding cattle and some other good breeders. It takes on the research and breeding work of Alpaca and Alpaca technology, which is a 948 program of Agriculture.
